Another weekend of pure dominance as we welcome the newest member of the YBGP '33 Dawg House
The YB G-Power '33 Dawg House ladies may be young in both age and experience (and name...), but they are building something truly special in an unbelievably short amount of time. What started as two groups of girls who barely knew each other has quickly transformed into a tight-knit family built on trust, joy, effort, and genuine connection. From day one, they became instant friends—laughing together in warmups, supporting each other through every drill, and celebrating even the smallest improvements with the enthusiasm of seasoned veterans.
Their ability to put the team above everything else sets them apart. They share the ball, they hype each other up, they stay positive through mistakes, and they see success as something earned together, not individually.
What makes them so fun to watch is their collective personality: they are fiercely competitive, fearless, and absolutely feisty in the best way possible. At practice, they push one another with intensity and purpose, holding each other accountable with surprising maturity. They show up ready to grind, ready to learn, and ready to elevate the standard every single day. These young ladies dream big—bigger than most kids their age—and yet they’re already building the habits and mindset that can turn those dreams into reality. They’re not just playing basketball; they’re learning how to be leaders, teammates, and confident young women.
This past weekend was another chance to test themselves against some of the strongest 5th grade girls teams across the Denver metro area. Instead of shying away from tougher competition, they embraced it with excitement and determination. And when the games began, their growth was unmistakable. They ran the floor with energy, defended with pride, and played for each other on every single possession. The result? A commanding, undefeated 4-0 weekend capped off by a full-blown smoking session in the championship game—leaving no question, no hesitation, and no doubt about who the dominant squad was.

I welcome all to join in giving a warm and heartfelt welcome to #13 Izzie Young, the newest member of the YBGP Dawg House. Even though she had just met some of her new teammates for the very first time on a three-game day, Izzie looked like she had been part of this squad for months. From the moment she stepped on the court—with that big, bright smile and her naturally feisty, competitive energy—she blended right in. Within minutes she carried herself with confidence, comfort, and a sense of belonging that was impossible to miss. Her teammates welcomed her with open arms, all of her parents fit like a glove with the YB family culture, and her little siblings will make lots of new YB little friends too with the many young siblings that support us. Coach Cass couldn’t be more pleased with the decision to bring Izzie into this ambitious ’33 Girls Basketball project and sees years of growth, development, and unwavering support ahead as she chases her dreams. Welcome to the YB Family, Izzie—this is just the beginning. #YBGPDawgHouse
