2032 Kicks Off JPS Pre Season Invitational with a W

2032 pulled off a 38-37 victory over Broomfield to kick off the tournament, saving a W in the final seconds after allowing a double digit lead to evaporate in the 4th.


The first three quarters belonged to Power 6th, as they methodically built their advantage through balanced scoring and solid team play. After taking an early 8-5 lead in the first quarter behind Case's hot shooting, the team extended their margin to 16-9 by halftime with Emery contributing crucial baskets and free throws. The third quarter was Isaiah's time to shine, as he erupted for 7 points in the period, including back-to-back field goals that pushed the lead to a comfortable 25-13. 2032 appeared to be cruising with a 28-18 advantage heading into the final frame.

The fourth quarter, however, became a test of character as Broomfield mounted a furious comeback. After Power 6th pushed their lead to 32-19 on consecutive baskets from Case, Broomfield responded with an incredible 14-point scoring streak that not only erased the deficit but gave them a 33-32 lead. Just when it seemed the momentum had completely shifted, Case stepped up with a clutch three-pointer to reclaim the lead at 35-33, showcasing poise and confidence under pressure.

The final minutes featured four lead changes, with both teams trading big shots in a dramatic finish. After Broomfield tied the game at 37-37, Case calmly sank the game-winning free throw, and Emery defended the inbound to deny Broomfield a final shot opportunity to close out the win.

Case led all Power 6th scorers with 11 points on outstanding 80% shooting, including the decisive three-pointer and free throw. Zay added 9 points on efficient 67% shooting, while Em chipped in 8 points. Chase S contributed 5 points with perfect free throw shooting, and Elle battled hard for 3 points, going 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
