From Home: Lila is a very smart middle schooler who has big basketball dreams. She loves school, is a master at math, loves to read, fish, and hang with her friends. But basketball is by far her number 1 passion. She is constantly looking for ways to add to her game, to develop her areas of weakness, and to become a better player. Always full of questions, and follow-up questions she is fun to talk with and can hold a deep conversation in a variety of topics. You will find her knocking down 500 shots on a daily, doing extra conditioning work, and geeking out watching game tape.

On the Court: Lila is a fierce competitor who brings unmatched energy, focus, and heart to every game and practice. Her understanding of the game is beyond her years—she sees the floor beautifully, anticipates plays before they happen, and consistently makes the smart decision to help her team succeed by putting them in excellent position to score due to her accurate passing abilities. She plays with a rare mix of confidence and unselfishness, always looking for the open teammate and setting others up to shine.

Her court vision and timing are impressive, allowing her to thread perfect passes and create scoring opportunities out of nothing. Her teammates line up to play the pick and roll game with her as they know Lila will find them on the roll and put them in strong scoring position. With the ball in her hands, she’s composed and intelligent, able to bring it up the floor with speed, control, and purpose. Has strong handles and continues to work on her game daily.

Offensively, she’s a versatile scorer who can beat defenders in multiple ways—using her quickness in transition, finishing creatively around the rim, or stretching the floor with a smooth mid-range jumper, and a very accurate 3pt ball. Her presence is equally powerful off the court—her contagious smile, fun-loving spirit, and positive energy make her the life of the team, keeping everyone motivated and connected. Always ready to contribute in any way she can, she embodies the perfect balance of competitiveness and joy.
