Founder & Head Coach
Coach Cass is a former College & Professional Basketball player and NCAA Division 1 College Assistant Coach at Utah State University. He has had numerous years of experience coaching youth through his college and professional career in places like Utah, Texas, Brazil, France, China, and Belgium. When he moved to Colorado he started to volunteer coach littles ones at Rocky Mountain Basketball camps, at the Erie Rec. Center league, and at the YMCA leagues. In 2020 he decided that his players needed more, wanted more, and were ready for more. More quality, more fundamentals, more attention to detail, and more real coaching. So he founded Young Basketball.
He loves this incredible game, and is passionate about working with young men and women while teaching them the most intricate parts of Basketball and most importantly all of the incredible experiences that playing this game can bring to everyone. He coaches his players with focus, attention to detail, and understands how to connect with each and every athlete he works with to push them with love and care. He takes pride and puts in energy and effort to ensure everyone involved in the Young Basketball Program continues to show up for and support each other, and to keep this special community engaged and involved to foster a family/village like environment where we can all count on each other.
