The impact of Young Basketball on my children...
Zay has grown as a basketball player. There is a brotherhood that he shares with his teammates that adds so much to his life, both on and off the court. YB has contributed to a sense of confidence and belonging.

YB is like a family and we have a lot of fun, cheering our players on and celebrating the growth we see in them. YB is special in the way that the coaching is supportive and passionate, without being overly aggressive and intimidating. While it’s exciting to win games; it’s also wonderful to see YB players growing in their ability to win and lose with grace, to support each other during rough moments, and to know that the end game is to be a good human and to make the world a better place. Young Basketball has been a perfect fit for us and we are grateful to be part of the YB family.
About Coach Cass...
Coach Cass is a really important part of Zay’s life. He’s a trusted adult and Zay feels very supported and encouraged by him. Coach Cass has no tolerance for racism, bullying, etc. and has been a wonderful role model for our son, always being willing to stand up for what is right. He has the big picture in mind, and values character development as much as skill development. Zay feels seen and valued, and would feel safe going to Cass for support or advice unrelated to basketball. We are very grateful for Coach Cass’s presence in Zay’s life.
